Hit, Stand, Double Down and Split
Evolution’s classic Live Blackjack uses four familiar actions. Hit adds a card. Stand ends the turn with the current total. Double Down increases the stake and gives one additional card. Split turns an eligible pair into two hands, each resolved under that table’s rules. Insurance is optional and separate from the main hand.
Example: hard 16 can be made from 10+6. If a hypothetical Hit receives an 8, the total is 24, above 21. This arithmetic shows how a card changes the total; it does not prescribe the best choice.
Push on 22 is a specific variant rule
Pragmatic Play Free Bet Blackjack settles active player bets as a push when the dealer busts on 22, except winning blackjack hands. A push returns the wager rather than treating that hand as a win or loss under this rule.
Comparison: an ordinary hand stands on 19 and the dealer reaches 22. Under a usual dealer-bust rule, the standing hand may win; under the cited Free Bet Blackjack rule, the active bet pushes. Winning blackjack hands are excepted. The same totals can settle differently under different versions.
Keep side bets separate from the main hand
Evolution’s classic rules identify Insurance as an optional bet. It does not change the player’s card total or replace the main-hand actions. A layout may show both near each other, so read which wager a control affects.
JitaWin describes dealer-led rooms and rules-based layouts. Evolution and Pragmatic Play provide named rule examples; they do not identify which provider or exact Blackjack version appears in a JitaWin room. Match the action and settlement rule to the table version shown.
Questions about games
What happens if a hard 16 takes an 8?
The total becomes 24, which is over 21. This is an arithmetic example, not a strategy recommendation.
What does Double Down do in the cited Evolution version?
It increases the stake and gives one additional card.
Does dealer 22 always mean the player wins?
No. In Pragmatic Play Free Bet Blackjack, active bets push when the dealer busts on 22, except winning blackjack hands.
